The Attorney General is seeking applications from qualified persons for appointment to NCAT as a full-time Senior Member under the Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2013. Applicants for the role must be lawyers of at least seven years’ standing. Members will be assigned to the Consumer and Commercial Division of the Tribunal and are required to travel throughout NSW. Practice Alert - Uncontested probate applications move online
All paper-based uncontested probate applications must be filed prior to 1 August 2023. A short video virtual tour of the new online process which must be used from 1 August 2023 is available here. We are advised that the online process is now live. Practitioners should consider using the online service as soon as possible to avoid issues in meeting the 1 August 2023 deadline for paper based applications. However, note that online applications filed before 1 August 2023 will only be progressed from 1 August 2023. Further information is available here and the home page of the Probate Service.
