Expressions of Interest invited for the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
Attorney General, Mark Dreyfus, says the Australian Government is calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified people interested in appointment as a Judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 1 and 2). The practice areas of family law and migration law as well as the Registry locations of Sydney, Paramatta, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Townsville are of particular interest to the Court at this time. However, nominations are sought across all registries and all practice areas. This process demonstrates the Government's ongoing commitment to transparent and merit-based judicial appointments, diversity in the judiciary, and the provision of a trusted federal judicial system. The process will be advertised nationwide and used to fill emerging vacancies. Learn more.
