Expressions of Interest invited for the Federal Court of Australia
The Australian Government is calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified people interested in appointment as a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia. To be eligible for appointment, a person must have been enrolled as a legal practitioner of the High Court or a Supreme Court of a state or territory for at least five years. An advisory panel will be formed to evaluate candidates and will develop a standing merit pool of eligible candidates to be considered for emerging vacancies. The panel will only assess expressions of interest submitted via the Attorney General’s Department website. People who have previously expressed an interest and would like to be again considered must lodge a new expression of interest. Those who wish to be considered for the next evaluation should register their interest before 12:00PM (AEST) Friday 30 August 2024. Further information is available here.
