List of Independent Administrators (LIA)
The Law Society has updated the LIA, which is a list of practitioners willing to be appointed by the Supreme Court of NSW as an independent administrator under the Probate and Administration Act 1898 (NSW). Accredited Specialists in Wills and Estates are eligible for the LIA, which will next be refreshed in 2026. The LIA does not limit the Court’s discretion to appoint other practitioners as independent administrators. The Law Society will provide a copy of the LIA to parties, if referred by the Court or upon request.
