Project Youth is a youth homelessness charity based in South Sydney with a vision to end youth homelessness.

Project Youth supports up to 4,000 young people per year, who are aged 12 to 24 who face homelessness, disadvantage, trauma and complex needs.

To do this we offer trauma informed individual, group and therapeutic programs, that enable young people to break cycles of homelessness and disadvantage and sustain safe and affordable housing long term.

We provide three core streams of service including:

  1. PREVENT: preventing homelessness through targeted early intervention and prevention of family breakdown, youth justice issues, mental ill health and education engagement. All programs intervene as early as possible through therapeutic and wrap around support programs.
  2. BRIEF: Providing emergency and transitional housing to young people with wrap around support and pathways to independence. This includes 10 crisis refuge beds across two refuges and 65 transitional beds across multiple social, community and leasehold properties in the South Eastern Sydney area.
  3. NON-REOCCURRING: Ensuring young people can exit homelessness through social impact programs that create new employment opportunities. This includes a social enterprise cafe, social enterprise music studio, and a job readiness program, all with wrap around trauma informed support.
