Administrative Appeals Tribunal - Upcoming changes to application fees
Application fees are payable in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in respect of certain types of applications in accordance with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Regulation 2015 and the Migration Regulations 1994. The amounts of these fees will increase on 1 July 2024 and are available here.

Public Consultation for the Proposed Law Society of New Wales Professional Standards Scheme beginning 22 November 2024
The Law Society of New South Wales has prepared a professional standards scheme under the Professional Standards Act 1994 (NSW). Each state and territory has professional standards legislation to:
- protect consumers of professional services and other occupational services;
- improve occupational standards;
- allow scheme participants to limit their civil liability.

Bail applications in the Supreme Court of NSW
Supreme Court Practice Note SC CL 11 applies to all bail applications made under the Bail Act 2013 (NSW) to be heard in the Supreme Court of NSW, and requires compliance with timeframes for documents to be filed. Concise written submissions limited to one page are encouraged in these matters.

Revenue NSW - Annual indexation of duties thresholds and base duty amounts
The annual indexation of duties thresholds and base duty amounts have now been published for 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. The transfer duty page, EDR systems and calculators have been updated to include the new indexed amounts. Chapter 2, Part 3, Division 3 of the Duties Act 1997 provides detailed information relating to annual indexation.
