Submission of the week: Proposed Legislative Framework to Regulate Restrictive Practices

Our submission highlights the importance of ensuring people with disability maintain the practicable right to withhold or withdraw consent in the context of restrictive practices. The Department is now reviewing all submissions prior to giving advice to the NSW Government to inform next steps. To read our submissions, please see our Policy Submissions 2025 page on our website.
