Every transition brings challenges and opportunities, and we know that one of the best ways to ensure a smooth transition is to prepare for it. Taking an evidence-based approach, this one-hour session provides an overview of the insights, frameworks and tools focused on transition.

Taking the time to unpack the nature and impact of transitions provides attendees with the opportunity to reflect on their strengths and prepare for the transitions ahead in their careers.

“Transition is not just a nice way to say change. It is the inner process through which people come to terms with a change, as they let go of the way things used to be and reorient themselves to the way that things are now.”

- Bridges, 2009

During the session, participants will be given the opportunity to:

  • Develop an understanding of the difference between transition and change, and the psychological processes of transition
  • Explore the unique challenges and opportunities that each career transition brings
  • Unpack evidence-based strategies and skills through the sharing of best-practice and practical discussion
