Call for expressions of interest: Law Society Committees 2019
The updated list of committees for 2019 and the expression of interest form are now available online. Committees are involved in an array of tasks and are split into three broad categories:
- Regulatory committees – perform statutory duties under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)
- Policy committees – deal with legal policy, law reform, and legal practice matters across a range of areas
- Liaison committees – linked to other professions or organisations
By drawing on the insights of committees, the Law Society meets its statutory duties and acts as a major player in law reform and policy debates. Each year we seek to appoint a broad range of solicitors to our committees to reflect the diversity of the Law Society’s membership.
