The role of mental wellbeing in work and life
Matthew Iasiello
Wellbeing and Resilience Researcher, SAHMRI
Mental health has never been more important. Traditionally, we have focused on the negative sides of mental health, or mental illness, while overlooking the positive states of mental health or mental wellbeing.
Mental wellbeing is an essential resource in our lives, just like sleep, nutrition, and physical activity. It can be built and practised.
Researcher Matthew Iasiello introduces the science of mental wellbeing, how it differs from mental illness, and why that is so important. Matthew also describes some basic skills and habits that we can all use to improve our mental wellbeing.
