Member Awards nominations are now open

The Law Society of NSW's inaugural Member Awards will highlight the great work happening in the profession, recognising excellence in our membership across a range of categories. Nominate someone you know or nominate yourself.
Applications close Wednesday 24 August. All finalists will be invited to attend the Law Society Member Awards Night at the Hilton Sydney on 5 September, where the winners will be announced. Nominate or apply now.

Staying Well in the Law: Alcohol and alcohol use problems
|
Alcohol use problems are common in Australia, where alcohol is cheap, readily available, and heavily promoted. Nearly 1 in 4 Australians will develop an alcohol use disorder at some point in their life.
In our next Staying Well in the Law event, Clinical Psychologist and Principal Research fellow Matthew Gullo will be explaining the biology, beliefs and behaviours associated with alcohol use, how to identify when alcohol use has become problematic, and evidence-based management strategies.
