Applications open for the Access to Justice Innovation Fund
The $1 million fund from the State Government supports innovative ideas to improve or enhance access to justice in NSW. Grants of between $50,000 and $250,000 are available for low cost, high impact projects that make a difference for those who need it most.  Find out more.

Cybercrime Alert – 8 February 2021
Since the last alert, the hacker had been monitoring the law practice’s emails. The particular matter required the client to deposit an additional amount in excess of $100,000 so that settlement could proceed. The client deposited the required funds and settlement proceeded. Read more.

Workers Compensation Commission and Dispute Resolution Services system shutdowns
The Personal Injury Commission will commence operation on 1 March 2021, combining the Workers Compensation Commission (WCC) and SIRA’s Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) into a single tribunal. To prepare for the transition, the WCC case management system will shut down from 6pm Thursday 25 February, until 9am Monday 1 March 2021. Please refer to this Workers Compensation Commission e-bulletin for more information. The DRS Legal Portal will shut down from 5pm Friday 12 February until 9am Monday 15 February; and again from 5pm Friday 19 February until 9am Monday 22 February to prepare for the changes.
