The Law Society’s 2022 Annual General Meeting will take place in person this Thursday, 27 October 2022 at 4.30pm. If you haven’t had a chance to read the Report on the Review of the Composition and Governance of the Council, I urge you to do so and either attend the AGM in person or submit your proxy by 4.30pm tomorrow to have your say on how the Law Society Council best leads the profession into the future. The NSW Sentencing Council has released a new podcast explaining how sentencing decisions are made in NSW courts to help promote better understanding of the issue.
The podcast will be particularly relevant to high school Legal Studies students looking for ways to improve their knowledge of the criminal justice system.
