Family Court of Australia and Federal Circuit Court of Australia

A new family violence and notice of risk form will provide the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia with improved information and notification of risk. For the first time in 20 years, the two Courts have been able to achieve the creation and implementation of one harmonised form to be used across both courts to identify issues of risk. The new harmonised form, the Notice of Child Abuse, Family Violence or Risk, commenced operation on 31 October 2020. More here.

Extension of the Retail and Other Commercial Leases (COVID-19) measures
The Retail and Other Commercial Leases (COVID-19) Regulation (No 2) 2020 commenced on 24 October 2020, and extended with some amendments, the prohibitions and requirements in relation to the exercise of certain rights of lessors during the COVID-19 pandemic period, until the end of 31 December 2020.
$250 million Jobs Plus Program for NSW
The NSW Government will encourage domestic and international business into NSW through payroll tax relief as part of a new $250 million Jobs Plus Program, which is part of the 2020-21 NSW Budget. The Jobs Plus Program will support companies who want to relocate their head offices to NSW, or expand their jobs footprint in NSW and is expected to  create or support up to 25,000 jobs to 30 June, 2022. NSW COVID-19 cases
NSW has reported no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. Two cases were reported in overseas travellers in hotel quarantine. Information on locations with reported cases and areas and suburbs with increased testing available here.
Australia secures a further 50 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine
Two more COVID-19 vaccines have been secured for the Australian population under new agreements, bringing the Australian Government’s COVID-19 vaccine investment to more than $3.2 billion. More here.
NSW to reopen Victorian border
The NSW Government will reopen the border to Victoria at 12.01am on Monday, 23 November. There were zero new cases recorded in Victoria in the past 24 hours. Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the reopening decision should give people the confidence to make plans, book holidays and reunite with family members in the lead up to Christmas. NSW Health will continue to monitor the situation as restrictions are eased. More here.
Tassie border to open with NSW
Subject to Public Health advice, NSW will be classified as a low-risk area from tomorrow, Friday 6 November 2020. People intending to travel to Tasmania from NSW from this date can submit their registration a maximum of three days before arrival in Tasmania via the Tas e-travel system.
Green light for regional shows
In a further easing of restrictions in NSW, regional communities and show committees can start planning events scheduled for early 2021 with the NSW Government today giving the green light for country shows to resume in NSW. The NSW Government is working with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW to explore options for the 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Show. More here.

Weekly payroll jobs and wages
National payroll jobs fell 0.8 per cent across the fortnight to 17 October, according to figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). Nationally, payroll jobs fell for the second fortnight in a row, and were 4.4 per cent lower than mid-March. This fall includes a flattening in payroll jobs for the most recent week. Payroll job losses continued to be greatest in Victoria (8.0 per cent). Over the month to 17 October, decreases were seen in all states and territories over the month, ranging from 2.1 per cent in New South Wales and Tasmania to 0.6 per cent in South Australia. More her
