Lockdown restrictions ease in Victoria
|
Victoria’s snap lockdown will end tomorrow morning (Friday 11 June), however restrictions will remain in place. The five reasons to leave home will no longer apply in metro Melbourne, and the existing 10-kilometre limit will be increased to 25 kilometres. That means the only reasons to go further than 25 km will be work, education, care and caregiving, and getting vaccinated. Schools will resume face-to-face learning and cafes, pubs and restaurants can also reopen with strict safety measures like density limits, seated service and QR codes in place. NSW Health will lift a stay-at-home order for people in NSW who have been in Victoria since 4pm on May 27. That order will no longer apply from 12.01am tomorrow (Friday 11 June). Anyone permitted to enter NSW from Victoria, with the exception of those in the defined border region, must complete a declaration form.
