|
There were zero locally acquired cases in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday with more than 20,000 tests. Two cases have been detected in returned overseas travellers. More here.

Lawcover cyber alert to all practices
|
Lawcover has experienced a sharp increase in cyber-attacks on firms and claims submitted over the Christmas break and continuing into January. Public Health Alert – Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane
|
NSW Health is calling on anyone who has been at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Brisbane since 30 December, either as a returned traveller or as a staff member, to immediately get tested and isolate for 14 days after they were last at the hotel regardless of their test result. NSW Health also requests these people to telephone 1300 066 055 for further advice. The QLD Government has notified NSW Health there were NSW people staying at the hotel who have since returned to NSW. More here. COVID Safe Check in with Service NSW app
|
As per NSW Government requirements, visitors to the Law Society building at 170 Phillip Street Sydney are now required to check in using the Service NSW App. Visitors will need to have the Service NSW app installed on their mobile to record their visit. More here.

National cabinet has agreed to new measures to stem the spread of new variants of COVID-19 into Australia. International passenger caps in NSW, QLD and WA will be temporarily halved from no later than 15 January 2021 to manage the flow of returning Australians and other travellers who have been potentially exposed to the new variants.
