Cyber incidents in Australia are currently making front page news on almost a daily basis. And in-house lawyers are frequently finding themselves in the vanguard of cyber security threats.

Not only are we advising on legal compliance and risk but must also be prepared, alert to and understand the continuous and evolving nature of cyber risks. No longer is a cyber issue something that can merely be handballed to IT! We need to ensure we have the relevant technical competence to advise and guide our organisation through these challenges.

Join us for a practical look at cyber security risks including particular types of cyber risk (e.g. ransomware, business email compromises, payment misdirections and data breaches), the ever evolving legal landscape, key regulators with oversight of cyber risk and how to assist your business be prepared for a cyber incident. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions which are particularly relevant to your situation so please bring along your burning cyber issues.
