MESSAGE FROM THE TRUST ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT

The 2022 Law Practice Confirmation and Statement of Trust Money submission period has now commenced.

All practices are required to complete Part A regardless of whether trust money was held or received during the period 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022. Part A must be lodged by 30 April 2022.

Law Practices that have held or received trust money (other than PEXA power money, written direction money or transit money) during the period 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 must also complete Part B and have an External Examiner’s Report completed by a designated External Examiner. Part B and the External Examiner’s Report must be lodged by 31 May 2022.

All Law Practice Confirmations and Statements of Trust Money are to be lodged via the Law Society of New South Wales website.
Emails were sent to Law Practices on 8 April 2022 providing each Law Practice with their Unique Access Number and instructions on how to proceed online.
