Forms for the 2026-27 financial year (1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027)

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR INTERSTATE PRACTITIONERS
If you currently hold a practising certificate (PC) in another Australian jurisdiction and are transferring to NSW from 1 July 2026, you are required to provide the following documents accompanying your application form. We are unable to process your application until this documentation is provided:

1. a certificate of fitness from all relevant jurisdictions (see Note A in the form for guidance); 
2. written confirmation that: 
   (a) You will notify the Law Society of NSW of any matters arising under Rule 13 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law General Rules 2015, between the date of your application and 1 July 2026; and
   (b) That you will not be renewing your practising certificate in another Australian jurisdiction, for the 2026/27 financial year. 

Important note: If you hold an Australian Registration Certificate for the current 2025-26 financial year and will need to renew for the 2026-27 year do not complete this form. You will receive a 2026-27 renewal application form by email.

Forms for the 2025-26 financial year (ending 30 June 2026)

*IMPORTANT NOTE: These forms are for the 2025-26 financial year ending 30 June 2026. Only complete these forms if you need a practising certificate prior to 1 July 2026. You will need to also submit a separate application for renewal of this practising certificate, effective from 1 July 2026. You will receive a separate email inviting you to renew.
